Our Psychologist and Mental Health Counselors are either Masters level or Doctoral level providers, and all of our Recreational Therapists have obtained 4-6 YEARS of college training specifically for Recreation Therapy. Combined, they have decades worth of experience and accreditations which equip them with priceless knowledge they pass on to you, our clients.
Dr Christian Monson

Dr. Monson earned Bachelor degrees in Therapeutic Recreation and in Psychology in 2006. While obtaining his Masters & Doctorate of Psychology, he researched the effects of recreation and spirituality on well-being. During the past decade, Dr. Monson has served clients of all demographics. He is versatile in using many therapeutic modalities in order to cater treatment to the needs of each individual client. Additionally, Dr. Monson is a preferred provider of Psychological Testing & Neuropsychological testing throughout the state of Utah.

Susannah Grover, LCSW

Susannah Grover has always been driven to help people feel connection, love, and acceptance. She believes that we are social beings that need one another to grow, learn, and heal from the experiences of life. She became a therapist with this intent. She currently works with youth ages 12-18 years old at a local charter school as a mental health counselor. She has had experience working with younger youth and adults as well. She applies a variety of therapeutic approaches in her counseling: Mindfulness, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy. She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2002. She has had much practical experience as a mother of four children. She graduated from The University of Utah with a B.S. degree in Psychology and Brigham Young University with an MSW degree.

Jospeh De Luca, LCSW

Joseph finds deep joy in being part of the 'change process' with clients. He focuses on providing a safe and listening atmosphere where clients gain stability and understanding. Joseph does this by using therapy skills and approaches such as: Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, Flash Technique, CBT, DBT, and IFS.
Joseph hopes all clients come to understand that life can be difficult and you don't have to struggle on your journey alone. During sessions with Joseph, clients gain resilience and are empowered to address struggles in healthy ways.
When not at the office, Joseph enjoys spending time with his family which has master the art of teaching him the meaning of love and patience.

Chelsea Oliver

Chelsea received a Bachelor degree in Psychology, and went on to obtain a Masters Degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Chelsea has been happily working in mental health since 2009 as she constantly strives to help others develop individual talents, find personal fulfillment, and prepare socially and emotionally to thrive in their community. Chelsea is a PEERS for Young Adults Certified Provider, and serves on the Utah Recreation Therapy Association board. Chelsea is a frenchfry connoisseur and will never say no to chocolate or Dr. Pepper. When Chelsea is not working, she can be found with her family playing games, trying new restaurants, cooking, and camping.

Ashley Alvarez

Ashley has a passion for fun and a love for serving people. She has been a professional clown for 12 years and earned a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation in 2017 from Brigham Young University. She has worked with adolescents and families from around the country as a Recreational Therapist. Ashley specializes in challenging outdoor experiences including rock climbing, rappelling, and ropes courses. Her other passions include; yoga, sound baths, kayaking, butterfly pinning, and going to museums with her two spunky children.

Rachel Englis

Rachel graduated with a bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy from the University of Utah in 2021. Rachel is passionate about recreation and leisure and is actively involved in many recreational activities. Not only does she enjoy seeing how recreation has benefited her life, Rachel enjoys seeing how recreation and leisure can lead to improved health for the people she works with. Rachel has experience working with individuals of all ages with spinal cord injuries and brain injuries. Rachel's hobbies include running, biking, hiking, swimming, backpacking, playing soccer, and spending time with her family.

Anna Polley

Anna excels at simply being present with people. She pursued a Recreation Therapy Bachelor Degree because it brought together her two loves in life: people and outdoors. Anna believes everyone can benefit from Nature and Recreation therapies, especially clients seeking to develop coping and/or behavioral stabilization skills.
Anna also has extensive experience working with a wide variety of populations who have physical or mental disabilities. Some of those settings are adaptive outdoor recreation (including ropes courses) working with youth in camp retreats, residential treatment, wilderness therapy, as well as Veterans in long-term assisted-living.
When not working, she's chasing a toddler. Coming from Washington state, she enjoys huckleberry picking, floating rivers, yoga, climbing, canyoneering, backpacking, road-tripping, and primitive survival skills.
