Throughout this lecture, Sharon L. Walsh, Ph.D., will talk about how the HEALing Communities Research (HCS) is testing the prevention and therapy of opioid misuse in choose communities arduous hit by the opioid disaster. About Dr. Walsh
Dr. Walsh is a professor of Behavioral Science, Psychiatry, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences within the Faculties of Medication and Pharmacy on the College of Kentucky and serves as Director of the Heart on Drug and Alcohol Analysis and the Substance Use Dysfunction Precedence Analysis Space. Dr. Walsh is the Principal Investigator of the HCS on the College of Kentucky.
Dr. Walsh’s scientific analysis focuses on pharmacological and behavioral points in opioid use dysfunction, together with research on the efficacy of pharmacotherapies for opioid use dysfunction, abuse legal responsibility of psychoactive medication, and the pharmacology of extensively used opioid analgesics. She has revealed greater than 150 manuscripts and has been acknowledged with quite a few awards, together with the Betty Ford Award, the Marian Fischman Award, and the Presidential Early Profession Award for Scientists and Engineers.
